Paris-based photographer Chantal Mistral-Bernard is pleased to present ‘The Face of Ukraine since 2022’ a photographic journal of her recent humanitarian missions to Ukraine with ‘Ukraine Focus.’ an organization founded to deliver ambulances and other life-saving equipment to soldiers and civilians at the front lines of battle. Drawn naturally to environmental portraiture, Mistral-Bernard met and photographed Ukrainians in their daily struggles for dignity and victory over the violence and destruction that surrounds them. In her photographs, we witness deep human strength competing with the faceless machinations of war. In inviting us to join her on an extraordinary voyage with remarkable people in a troubled time, Mistral-Bernard has created a moving and emotional tribute to Ukraine and Ukrainians.
